Shout out to all artists and filmmakers who continue to utilize art in creating awareness about the issues on Violence Against Women (VAW). In a film showing during #UPOpenUniversity’s 23rd Anniversary, the movie “Broken Halleluyah” by Mr. Roland Sanchez exposes the disturbing nature of human trafficking. The complexity of the movie’s characters pointed out to one unmistakable conclusion that women are not commodities to be sold and not slaves to be used and abused. The UP Open University Health & Wellness Committee in cooperation with All UP Workers Alliance, and the Office of Gender Concerns held a seminar on “Psycho- Emotional Well-Being of Women and Men in the Workplace” with Asst. Prof. Rameses de Jesus as resource person. This seminar aimed to increase awareness about factors (stress, anxiety, depression, personality styles, working relationships) that affect mental health in the workplace. This was held at the UPOU AudioVisual Room (Main Building) on 26 October 2017 (Thursday), 9:00-12:00 NN.
