UPOU Joined the Entire Country in the Celebration of Women’s Month 2021

OGC Conducts Gender Sensitivity Training for UPOU’s faculty and staff

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of Gender Concerns (OGC) conducted a  Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) for the university’s faculty and staff on 27 November 2020 via zoom.  The training was attended by more than 50 faculty and staff from different UPOU offices and units. OGC Joins in the Fight for Violence Against Women and Children

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of Gender Concerns (OGC) continues to advocate for a #VAWFreePH by joining this year’s International Day for the Elimination for Violence Against Women and Children and the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of VAWC as declared through Republic Act 10398 . The office will be participating in the 18-day campaign through trainings, webinars, and social media engagements -- highlighting the continuous fight for the elimination of all types of violence against women and children. Serrano as the newly appointed Director for the Office of Gender Concerns (OGC), effective this 12 August 2020 until 28 February 2021. Dr. Serrano is an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS). The Office of Gender Concerns conducted an online discussion on June 5 2020 at 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM,  through the vide-conferencing platform Zoom, to open the conversation about Sexual Health.
